Vortex Flow Meters
MVX series vortex flowmeters are suitable for a wide range of media. They measure can conductive/nonconductive liquids, gases and steam reliably because they don't depend upon the properties of the medium to measure the flow. The measurement principle is based on the famous phenomenon called "von Karman Vortex Street". The sensor senses the pressure variations created on both sides alternately and counts the number of such fluctuations, which is directly proportional to the speed of the flow.
The main advantages of vortex meters are their low sensitivity to variations in process conditions and low wear relative to orifices or turbine meters. Also, initial and maintenance costs are low. For these reasons, they have been gaining wider acceptance among users. Our MVX vortex offers the following exoctic advantages;
• Temperature/pressure compensation feature• High measuring accuracy
• Maintenance-free sensor
• Inline and insertion type are both available.
• HART is standard for 4-20mA output (2-wire technology)
• Non-wearing, fully-welded stainless steel construction with high resistance to corrosion, pressure and temperature
